Highfield and Brookham is an independent Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep School in Liphook for boys and girls aged 2-13, nestled on the leafy borders of Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey.
We celebrate our genuine independence and prepare children for the leading boarding and top day schools. Not being answerable to a senior school or trust results in a strong sense of togetherness and a welcoming family feel. We work together with our children and their families to ensure the children receive the very best education possible.
Scholarship success
We have a flawless record of securing entrance to a child’s chosen senior school, whether at 11+ or 13+, and our scholarship success is further evidence of our outstanding academic ambition. Our children have been awarded an impressive 96 scholarships over the past six years alone to a diverse range of top senior schools, including Wellington College, Cranleigh School, Radley College, Marlborough College and Charterhouse, and include a huge variety of scholarships ranging from academic and art to sports and music.
Extensive grounds
Situated in 175 acres of glorious natural grounds in the South Downs National Park, on the borders of Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire, our beautiful estate provides not only a stunning backdrop for our Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep, but importantly is a wonderful place for learning. We are committed to making the most of our amazing grounds, as well as protecting and enhancing them.

Our popular bushcraft course closed the door to the forest today, but not before a thorough tidy up to ensure they ‘left no trace.’ And of course, no bushcraft experience would ever be complete without some marshmallow toasting! The children have so enjoyed this course, making memories, learning skills and cherishing nature. Our busy schedule of holiday courses continues and today, amongst others, is our brilliant Musical Theatre workshop. This course, run by our very own Susannah Wilson, helps children develop their performance skills as they think about stage presence, voice and expression. As the children channelled their inner Matilda, we think it’s safe to say that talent is abound!

Under the expert guidance of Hattie Roberts from Learning beyond the Classroom, the young adventurers on our bushcraft course have been honing their whittling skills in our wonderful woodland. Every activity on this fantastic course fosters teamwork, friendship and a love for nature and the great outdoors.
Young gymnasts got a vaulting masterclass from top coach Denise Ogilvie today. The children learned to vault onto their knees, being mindful of their hand placement, before working on their dismounts, be it a star, tuck or straight jump.
