Children are admitted to Brookham Reception at the age of 4+ without any formal assessment. Entry requirement for children is that they should be academically broadly of national average ability. However, the ‘whole child’ is always considered, our admissions process is designed to identify pupils who are able to benefit from our balanced and well-rounded education and to make a positive contribution towards the life of the school. If they are joining Brookham in Years 1-3 from another school, much emphasis is placed on their performance and conduct at their current schools and the comments of their Headteachers.

All registered children, from outside the UK, are required to take UKiset; school reports and character references are also requested on application. You can register your child for the UKiset test by visiting the website www.ukiset.com. This website is also a great source of information. UKiset can be taken at approved test centres worldwide and one test can be used to apply to multiple schools, saving you time and money. After the candidate has taken the test, a report is generated for their parents and a separate in-depth report is created for us. On receipt of the applicant’s UKiset Profile, school report and character reference, we will respond directly to the family or the Educational Agent representing them.
