Assistant Catering Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to join the energetic and diverse team who cater for our pupils and staff on a daily basis. Reporting to the Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the service levels in our dining room, staff rooms and hospitality venues. As a busy independent boarding school, we also hold a variety of hospitality events throughout the year which you will be involved in organising and helping to manage.  These events include the sports day barbeque, bonfire night, house suppers and summer concerts.

We are looking for someone who has previous catering management experience, excellent organisational and time management skills, strong leadership capabilities, a high level of customer service skills, the ability to work under pressure, a high level of integrity and strong attention to detail. After School Care Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an After School Care Manager to lead and be responsible for the day to day organisation of the After School provision at Highfield and Brookham School, providing high standards of care and play opportunities for the children in a safe and secure environment. You will be passionate about all aspects of childcare and education and be able to bring new ideas to the role. You will need to have a caring and dynamic approach, as well as an ability to lead and motivate a range of staff.

Recent experience of working with children aged 2-8 years and NVQ Level 3 in Child Care / Playwork or equivalent are essential, as is a good knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and special educational needs. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and good organisational skills. Relevant supervisory/management experience would be an advantage.

Working hours will be from 3.00pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only (approximately 34 weeks)

Nursery Assistant

Our nursery is a special place.  Our team of dedicated staff are caring and nurturing, with a clear understanding of child development and how to support every child as an individual on their educational journey.  We embrace outdoor learning and children can be found outside, no matter what the weather.  We constantly reflect on our practice and we keep up to date with the latest research relating to Early Years Education.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible and committed individual to join our team and support us in our mission to provide our Nursery children with the very best start to their educational journey. You will assist the teacher with the day-to-day running of provision; ensuring the children’s happiness, general welfare and safety are maintained to the highest standard. You will assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of activities devised to meet children’s developmental needs and observe children and record these observations using the school’s tracking documents and systems.

Recent experience of working with children aged 2-8 years and NVQ Level 3 in Child Care / Playwork or equivalent are of benefit but not essential, as is a good knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and special educational needs.

You will also need to have excellent communication skills and good organisational skills.

Working hours will be from 3.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, term time only (approximately 35 weeks).

Swim Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and friendly swim teacher to join our popular and highly regarded Swim School, offering swimming lessons to children aged 4yrs and above in our warm 20m pool.

Candidates must be qualified to either Swim England SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 Certificate and have experience of teaching all abilities, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Candidates must be prepared to teach in the water as well as out of the water.

Hours: Saturday from 9.00am – 11.15am.

Pay: £67.50 (£22.50 per 45 minute lesson) with additional benefits of sick pay and company pension.

Lead Graduate Assistant

We are looking for two Lead Graduate Assistants to help support the Head of Girls’ Boarding and Head of Boys’ Boarding in ensuring that our boarding provision is of the highest possible standard. This will be achieved through supporting the operational management of the boarding house, undertaking such responsibilities as necessary to care for the health and wellbeing of all our boarders.

Working as part of the Residential Team, the successful applicants will be engaged in the classroom, on the games field and in the Boarding Houses.
