Highfield and Brookham Pupils Continue LAMDA Success with Exceptional Summer Examination Results

24th June 2026

Highfield and Brookham School is celebrating another outstanding set of performing arts results following the release of its latest London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examination outcomes.

LAMDA is the UK’s leading drama and communication skills awarding body, offering graded examinations in speaking, acting and communication – qualifications that research has shown to deliver measurable benefits for young people that reach far beyond the stage.

In the LAMDA examinations taken in May 2026, an impressive 91% of pupils achieved Distinction, with the remaining 9% awarded High Merit. The results reflect the high standards of preparation and performance demonstrated by all 85 pupils involved.

These latest results build on the school’s strong tradition of success in the performing arts and follow the record-breaking achievement earlier this year when Highfield and Brookham pupils secured a 100% Distinction rate in the February 2026 LAMDA examinations. Together, these achievements demonstrate the school’s commitment to helping pupils grow in confidence and express their creativity through performance.

At Highfield and Brookham, opportunities in the performing arts, public speaking and self-expression form an important part of school life. The leading co-educational independent prep school, based in Liphook in the South Downs National Park where Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex meet, is celebrated in the Tatler Schools Guide and is known for its future-focused approach to education and skills-based curriculum.

The success of the programme reflects a growing recognition that oracy and communication skills are fundamental – not just to education, but to every aspect of life. The ability to articulate ideas clearly, engage an audience and present with confidence represents a set of qualities that serves young people well whatever path they choose.

Mrs Suzannah Cryer, Head of Highfield and Brookham School, said: “I am delighted with these LAMDA results. The standard continues to go from strength to strength, and the children should be incredibly proud of their achievements. With communication skills being so fundamental to young people’s future success, LAMDA provides an excellent foundation. Congratulations to all the pupils and thank you to our dedicated LAMDA staff for their hard work and support.”

The latest results mark another proud chapter in an exceptional year for the performing arts at Highfield and Brookham. Pupils will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the school’s forthcoming summer performance events, where the confidence and creativity nurtured through LAMDA will be on full display.
