Scholarship success showcases breadth of talent at Highfield and Brookham

3rd July 2026

Highfield and Brookham School is celebrating another exceptional year of scholarship success, with pupils securing 29 scholarships to some of the country’s leading senior schools.

The scholarships, awarded to pupils moving on to senior education this September, recognise excellence across a remarkable breadth of specialisms, including academic achievement, art, music, drama, dance, design engineering, product design, performing arts and sport.

The awards have been made by an impressive variety of senior schools, including Brighton College, Bryanston School, Charterhouse, Churcher’s College, Cranleigh School, Bedales School, Seaford College and The King’s School, Canterbury, highlighting the diverse pathways available to Highfield and Brookham pupils.

Many pupils were recognised with more than one scholarship, underlining both the depth of talent within the year group and the school’s ability to nurture individual strengths across a broad spectrum of interests.

Each year, pupils with a wide range of interests and abilities are supported through Highfield and Brookham’s scholarship programme, receiving expert guidance from specialist teaching staff. A leading co-educational independent prep school in Liphook, Highfield and Brookham is celebrated in the Tatler Schools Guide for its future-focused approach to education and skills-based curriculum, helping every pupil to develop their individual talents. This year’s scholarship success reflects that philosophy, with awards spanning more disciplines and more senior schools than ever before.

Mrs Suzannah Cryer, Head of Highfield and Brookham School said: “This year’s scholarship success is particularly special because it reflects the incredible breadth of talent within our Year 8 cohort. The record number of scholarships awarded, across such a wide range of disciplines and to so many outstanding senior schools, is a wonderful testament to our pupils’ hard work and determination. Every scholarship journey is unique. Whether a child is pursuing excellence in academia, the creative arts, sport or performance, they are encouraged to challenge themselves, discover their strengths and strive to achieve their very best. We are immensely proud of every pupil who has embraced that challenge.”

Mrs Cryer added: “These awards reflect not only the achievements of our pupils but also the dedication of our staff, who work tirelessly to nurture each child’s individual talents. Seeing our pupils recognised by such a diverse range of leading senior schools is immensely rewarding and we look forward to seeing them flourish as they begin the next stage of their educational journey.”
