School Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate nurse to join our team, supporting the physical health and emotional well-being of our pupils and the health and safety of our school community.

The successful candidate should be friendly and approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to manage day-to-day medical duties, first aid and administration tasks.

This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week, term-time only (for up to 36 weeks a year). This allows for most of the school holidays off, other than INSET days and one week during the summer break for administrative duties to prepare for the new school year.

You will work with the Lead Nurse to cover the Health Centre from 08:15 to 17:30/20:30 Monday to Friday and on average 6 Saturdays per school year (fixed days will be considered).

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with either school nursing or paediatric experience. Minor injury assessment skills are desirable. You should be willing to complete the following training relevant to working in a school setting before commencing work: –

Additional training

  • First Aid at Work qualification (3-day course)
  • Safeguarding training – Level 3
  • Sports injury care and treatment
  • Concussion management

Laboratory Technician

We are looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician to join our friendly and highly successful school. You will play a key role in the smooth and successful running of the Science Department and work closely with the Head of Department to ensure the department is compliant with all Health and Safety requirements and that there are organised systems in place so that resources are used in an efficient manner. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:             

  • Carrying out risk assessments for technician activities (CLEAPSS, HSE, COSHH).
  • Preparation of chemicals, solutions, materials and equipment for Science practicals.
  • Collection, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and returning to stores.
  • Constructing, modifying and checking of apparatus.
  • Ensuring the safe storage, maintenance and disposal of chemical waste.
  • Conducting or arranging for the maintenance/repair of equipment.
  • Trialling experiments, including scholarship mock practicals from previous years.
  • Occasionally assisting with class practicals.
  • Maintaining and updating Science practical files on PC.
  • Placing orders, collecting, checking and distributing deliveries. Filing copies of invoices and monitoring budget spending, in communication with the Finance department.
  • Purchasing materials.
  • Conducting an annual stock check of all chemicals, equipment and books and maintaining/updating inventories and records.
  • Preparation and submission of annual budget request to Finance department – to include a full and comprehensive itemised breakdown of costs.
  • Arranging regular update meetings with the Head of Science.
  • Providing technical assistance and advice to teaching staff.
  • Liaising with outside agencies (e.g. CLEAPSS) to keep up to date with H&S legislation and keeping the Head of Science informed. Advising members of the department of changes in H&S procedures or safety bulletins that are issued.
  • Caring for plants and animals.
  • Assisting with keeping the prep room and labs tidy.
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as photocopying and laminating. Maintaining stocks for the Science department photocopier.
  • Attending and participating in staff meetings and training as appropriate.

This is a part-time role working 15 hours per week during term-time, plus a requirement to attend preparation days at the beginning of each term. A background in Science with a knowledge of handling chemicals is highly desirable but not essential.

You will assist the teacher with the day-to-day running of provision; ensuring the children’s happiness, general welfare and safety are maintained to the highest standard. You will assist with delivering lessons, working with children individually, in small groups and whole class. As part of the team, you will be required to cover before school care, break and lunch duties. 

This is a part-time role, working 8.00 am to 1.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Part-Time Music Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic Music Teacher to join a large and thriving music department in September 2025.  The role will support the Director of Music and the 16 visiting instrumental teachers. 

The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to communicate this in class teaching from years 1-6.  In addition to this, the role will also involve working with various ensembles, teaching theory lessons, accompanying and choral work.  Good keyboard skills are highly desirable along with a willingness to involve oneself in all areas of school life. This role would suit a recently qualified teacher with a love of all types of music ranging from Rock Club to Chapel Choir. 

Flexibility with regards to working hours will be important to accommodate changes to pupil needs during the school year.

Swim Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and friendly swim teacher to join our popular and highly regarded Swim School, offering swimming lessons to children aged 4yrs and above in our warm 20m pool.

Candidates must be qualified to either Swim England SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 Certificate and have experience of teaching all abilities, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Candidates must be prepared to teach in the water as well as out of the water.

Hours: Saturday from 9.00am – 11.15am.

Pay: £67.50 (£22.50 per 45 minute lesson) with additional benefits of sick pay and company pension.
